Days 1–7
Week 1 - Rooted in God’s Word
“As therefore you received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, even as you were taught, abounding in it in thanksgiving.”
Colossians 2:6–7
- Make a Bible reading plan for the month
- Pick a time of day to read and stick to it at least 5 days this week
- Choose a verse to memorize (you’ll add a new one each week)
- Put your verse in your own words and diagram it
- Say your verse from memory by the end of the week
- Jot down questions as you read, and take at least one to an elder or mature believing friend
- Pick a friend to check in with each week, and share a verse or passage with them
Days 8–14
Week 2 - Drawing Near with Prayer
“Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners. Purify your hearts, you double-minded.”
James 4:8
- Pray before you read, then pray the passage back to God after
- Set a daily prayer time, morning or night
- Pray through ACTS (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplications) at least 5 days
- Ask 3 people what you can pray for, and check back in with each of them
- Make a calming worship playlist for your prayer time
- Write down 3–5 things you’re thankful for at least 5 days this week
Days 15–21
Week 3 - Quiet the Noise
“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.”
Psalm 46:10
- Pick 1–2 things to fast from this week, like social media, video games, or junk food
- Keep the fast all week (slipped? Just pick it back up)
- Take notes by hand in a physical Bible or journal at least 5 days
- Set aside one rest day this week
Days 22–28
Week 4 - Living It Out
“But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves.”
James 1:22
- Go back through your reading plan and list the commands that apply to you
- Pick 2 of them and put them into practice this week
- Tell someone what you’ve been learning
- Share the gospel with an unbelieving friend or family member
- Do one concrete act of service in your church or for a neighbor
- Spend time with other believers outside of Sunday service (a meal, small group, or Bible study)
Reaffirm & Reflect (Days 29-31)
“Brothers, I don't regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do: forgetting the things which are behind and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 3:13–14
- Write a short reflection on what worked and what didn’t
- Name the one area you most want to grow in
- Pick a start date for your next cycle
