Notes & Sources

  1. Town locations are plotted from their known ancient sites. The lines between stops are straight and only suggest the roads and sea lanes Paul used.
  2. On the second and third journeys Acts names regions (“Syria and Cilicia,” “the region of Galatia and Phrygia”) rather than every town (Acts 15:41; Acts 18:23). The map routes those legs through the churches founded on the first journey.
  3. Dates follow the same chronology as When Paul Wrote His Letters.
